Yes, today's great white lived millions of years ago. Many believe that the presence of the Great White contributed to the downfall of Megalodon. It is said the great white was more nimble when hunting prey, taking away potential food from the Meg. Also, being a much smaller shark, its required intake of food was drastically less, increasing its chances of survival. Many of these were found off the Coast of North Carolina and were prepped right here in our galleries!
